Dina Adamcik went home to be with her lord, Sept. 1, 2006, in her home in Indio. She passed away peacefully while surrounded by her husband and loving family after a year long battle with melanoma cancer.
Dina was born January 19th 1976 at Red Bank, NJ, to Robert and Barbara Lukacs. She married Stephen Adamcik October 23, 1999.
She is survived by her husband; parents; grandparents Michael and Anna Lukacs, and Salvatore Fontana and Vinzie Fontana; her brothers Robert and Brent and sister Lindsay Lukacs; as well as many long-time friends.
Dina moved to California when she was four years old and attended schools in the Redlands area. Upon graduating Suma Cum Laude and being recognized among the top ten graduates of the University of California Riverside in 1998, Dina remained active in her college sorority, Pi Beta Phi, throughout her life. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Southwest Community Church in Indian Wells and was a witness to Gods love to everyone that knew her.
Dina was employed by Anheuser-Bush as a sales representative during college and then became a very successful account manager in the advertising industry. For the past three years, Dina excelled as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Eli Lilly, Inc. She enjoyed playing with her three pugs, reading, creating photo albums, playing cards, listening to music, and rarely missed an opportunity to dance. She was an exceptional home decorator, and enjoyed taking many tropical vacations with her husband and family members throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, a loving daughter and sister, and a committed friend.
In the past year Dina became very involved with Melanoma cancer awareness through educating others and by creating cancer care packages for those involved with treatment. Her courage and faith were an inspiration to all, and she will always be remembered for her caring, thoughtful, and loving character.
